Trowbridge House with its large living areas, is the perfect place to use as a meeting and retreat center. We have hosted corporate strategy sessions, large professional groups and hold parenting weekends throughout the year. Trowbridge House is an ideal place to hold family reunions, put up your out of town guests, house wedding parties or conduct educational workshops. Trowbridge House, conveniently located to a number of fine secondary and preparatory schools including Hotchkiss, The Millbrook School, The Salisbury School, Indian Mountain, Kildonan, Maplebrook and The Berkshire School, is a frequent choice for parents coming to see their children and people coming to visit the schools themselves. There are also many summer camps in the area and we are happy to host families coming for parents’ weekends.

Breakfast is served family style in our paneled dining room. A full range of house specialties is offered. Breakfast on any given morning may include a selection of juices, coffee and teas, french toast, eggs, frittata, bacon, sausages, fruit salad, yogurt, muffins, bagels, toast or, on some mornings, a surprise. Our ingredients are gathered from our beloved Silimar Farms, located right across the road, McInroes Organic Market and Farm, which offers it’s own fruits, vegetables and meats and Millerton’s own Pasta At Large, which carries, in addition to homemade pasta, many hard to find ingredients ranging from Spanish Monchego Cheese to Argentine Empanadas. Millerton and the surrounding area offer guests a wide range of dining experiences – from coffee houses to Japanese food; from burgers to gourmet country dining. We’ll be happy to assist you in making a selection and a reservation.

	During the warmer months guests can relax sitting by the pond or on the large stone terrace. Those who want can wander the property and enjoy our colorful garden or the many mature specimen trees planted by a former owner. Four fireplaces offer warmth and comfort on cold winter nights.
